A resource that I have been using and found helpful was Travelblog.org. There are many blogs about each region of the world. Each region has separate important topics about that region. There are many bloggers on this site that have traveled the world and have great advice to give.

I have found the website New Zealand Educated to be useful. http://www.newzealandeducated.com/int/en/ As I am not quite sure if this is where I want to go the ISC website is always helpful as well.
